
We’ve all been there. It’s the start of an op and you notice up on top of the hill is the greatest vantage point for the operation. Once there, a squad/team can start gathering battlefield intelligence on enemy movement and where the main battle and choke points are. That vantage point can be your start of assembling a special task group to hit the enemy from behind; opening a gap in the front and allowing your side that tactical advantage. You know the only hope of ever accomplishing this feat is to get to the top first and set up ambush points for any opposition force with the same idea as you.
